Lively Learning for Pentecost Sunday - June 12, 2011

As we enter the summer Adult Ed will be moving to one class and experimenting with some new ideas.

This coming Sunday Grant Lowe will lead the Wired Word discussing a matter, literally, of life and death. The death of Dr Kevorkian brings up the question of freedom to choose, specifically to choose something of how and when we end our lives. We try to be responsible about other aspects of life and death, and seem to prolong life freely enough. What about taking responsibility for ending one’s life?

Next Sunday Bill Clough will start a class using the Seasons of the Spirit Adult curriculum. Seasons is a Bible study which follows the Lectionary so we should be discussing the same Scripture Elizabeth preached on that day. It will give all of us a second chance to interact with the Word. For parents, it will give you some ideas to discuss with your children who attend Lively Learning and church.

Peace,
Bill
