This Sunday Mickey will continue our walk through Genesis. The Flood, the Tower of Babel – stories you think you know, but do you really? Come, listen, participate and find out.
The very first 16 words of the first amendment to the constitution are: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” Freedom of religion is the first of freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. But what role should religion play in the election of officials?
There is a very real possibility that we will have a Mormon presidential candidate in the next election. When Mitt Romney ran for President he described himself as “religious” the other possible candidate, Jon Huntsman Jr., former Ambassador to China, says he’s not particularly religious. In your mind does that make him more or less desirable as a candidate?
See you Sunday,
Bill
